When winter and spring loosen their chilling grip, there’s one place all Chicagoans run: to the nearest rooftop bar or restaurant. It’s no different for groups heading to the city this summer, and with three recent rooftops doubling as event space open for business this season, meeting organizers have options. Take a look at these three downtown locations that will have you headed up and out.


The fact that this spot is tucked into a Northwestern Memorial Hospital building is both a blessing and a curse, but for meeting planners it’s mostly a good thing. For one, its proximity to thousands of hospital employees means it’s a given for hosting medical groups; plus, it has an insider vibe that lends a bit of a speakeasy feel, especially at adjacent bar Annex. This brand-new rooftop, opened this spring off the main meeting space, is a packed house this summer.
