5 Gadgets From CES 2018 That Will Elevate Your Events

By Sara Delgado, January 22, 2018

CES 2018 spotlighted advancements in smart technology, VR/AR innovations, OLED televisions and robotic dogs(!). And while a 3-in-1 laundry machine that washes, dries and folds clothes sounds great for personal use, we found five pieces of technology that can elevate your events.

  1. 90 Foot LG OLED Canyon

What better way to check-in guests than to immediately transport them through a 90-foot long OLED pathway? This immersive installation wowed the crowd as soon as guests walked through the main entrance at Las Vegas Convention Center. Coupled with Dolby Atmos audio, this video experience seduced its visitors with Earth’s natural landscape turned digital.

  1. Square Shaped Light Panels from Nanoleaf

Control the ambience and mood at any meeting with one touch. Nanoleaf released a square version of its popular triangle-shaped light panel. The improved features from its predecessor include touch sensitivity and motion sensors.

  1. VR-sphere

With numerous exhibitors in the VR/AR space, UK-based Global Imagination stood out with it its “VR-sphere”, a giant glass crystal ball that gives viewers a 360-degree video display.

  1. Sony 4k OLED Projector

Why purchase a new car when you can spend the same, if not more, on Sony’s state-of-the-art 4k OLED projector? Blow away events with unprecedented detail, color and contrast. It may take convincing for your boss to sign off on the price tag, but you’ll be at the forefront of AV for the foreseeable future.

  1. The Evo

Good news for meetings and events: Several companies debuted smaller model drones perfect for tight spaces. Drones have come a long ways since 2015. Now, they are suited for racing, taking selfies and some even include folding cameras. Autel’s Evo stood out because of its 4k-resolution folding camera, 30-minute flight time and vision sensors to avoid obstacles
