Now Trending: Boozy Milkshakes

By Anna Dunn, July 19, 2016

Combine cocktail hour with dessert by serving grown-up milkshakes at your next event. Hotels and caterers are crafting specialty cocktail shakes perfect for receptions, and these three options are the, ahem, cream of the crop.

Check out the plush space at Los Angeles’ 24/7 25 Degrees in The Hollywood Roosevelt and order rounds of Cherries Jubilee, a decadent combo of Grey Goose cherry vodka, Godiva chocolate liqueur, vanilla ice cream, housemade chocolate sauce and Luxardo maraschino cherries.

In Seattle, Skillet Catering whips up a refreshing peppermint patty shake using local Batch 206 Distillery’s Mad Mint Vodka, vanilla ice cream and intense Meletti Cioccolato liqueur. The team can make large batches of shakes and deliver them to your event site.

Holsteins in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has an entire menu of “bamboozled” shakes. Take over the space after dinner and serve Drunken Monkeys, made with Reese’s candy, banana, malt and Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, as a late-night snack. For dairy-free guests, Holsteins also makes vegan coconut raspberry shakes with coconut sorbet, raspberries, Skyy raspberry vodka, toasted coconut vodka, toasted coconut marshmallow and soy whipped topping.
