What the Science of Scents Can Do for Your Meeting

By Anna Dunn, October 25, 2016

The secret to organizing an unforgettable event is hiding right under your nose. The sense of smell is most strongly linked to memory, so investing in the science of scents is a smart bet for an unforgettable event. That’s where Las Vegas-based scenting company AromaSys comes in.

“For planners wanting to do things differently: Bring in the aroma factor,” advises Eric Patterson, regional sales manager at AromaSys. “Fragrance makes it a more memorable meeting or conference.” Hotels like Caesars Palace, Mirage and Mohegan Sun have taken note, pumping AromaSys-created fragrances through their HVAC systems.

For events, work with AromaSys to customize your own fragrance and dispense it on-site using one of the brand’s pumping systems, which diffuse fragrance oils into vapor. Choose from a selection of top, middle and base notes for your fragrance: Would attendees prefer woodsy, musky, citrus or floral scents? How your group remembers the event is up to you.
