INSIDER SERIES | Being a Meetings Industry Advocate

By Collaborate Staff, September 14, 2015

Roger Rickard is the guy organizations call when they need help with advocacy.

In this Insider Series video, Rickard urges his fellow colleagues to do a better job of getting others to understand the importance of meetings and clear up any misconceptions about the profession. “Meetings are the largest example of knowledge transfer for adults in the world. There are more meetings than there are classes held in universities,” he says. Rickard believes that anything you’re passionate about, you should be willing to speak out about and makes the case for all planners to become advocates for their industry. Hear the founder of Voices in Advocacy’s other reasons in this video brought to you by The Heart of Florida’s Emerald Coast.
