INSIDER SERIES | Darrin Crittington, CMP, QAI Global Institute

By Collaborate Staff, June 2, 2014

In this episode of our Insider Series, Darrin Crittington, CMP, talks about how important it’s become to plan ahead. “We need to start booking two years to three years in advance to get the space we need,” he says, supporting a trend most meeting planners are facing in a recovering economy. Crittington also talks about post-con reports and their role in venue negotiations. He urges planners to document their competitive advantages against other groups. “If you’re an organization that uses a lot of hotel space or has lower sleeping nights, spend more in the hotel. That will balance it out and make you a stronger piece of business for them.”
